Occupational Therapy helps people of all ages and abilities succeed in their daily "occupations," which are the things that occupy their time.
In pediatrics, these daily activities can be anything the child participates in, including play, feeding, dressing, sleep, grooming, toileting, daycare, school, and anything else in their routines.

You and your child will learn various adaptations, skills, and techniques needed to meet your child's developmental milestones and succeed through their daily routines

Fine Motor Skills and Strength - Object Manipulation Skills - Visual-Motor Skills
Hand-Eye Coordination - Sensory Processing Difficulties - Self-Regulation
Feeding - Cognitive Skills - Play Skills - Safety - Social Difficulties
* NOTE: OT treatment of the above listed skills can vary based on the Clinic's capacity to treat, and each OT/COTA's specific training.

MY CHILD HAS AN OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY REFERRAL, WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?
Children who receive a referral for Occupational Therapy may be struggling and need some additional support in some areas that a provider believes an Occupational Therapist can help treat.
